Hey all, faraways and nears…

Currently, I am attending Antioch University in Los Angeles. Getting my M.F.A in Creative Writing with a focus on poetry. Early on, I said I would only attend a university that would allow acting, and my life to continue in Los Angeles uninterrupted. The best thing I have ever done is enroll is Antioch. I’m probably writing poems two hours a day now, in the morning when I can put a candle on my desk, and watch the morning change. So motivated. I'm still going to open mics around the Westside, the Cobalt Cafe in Canoga Park probably my favorite. These days my topics are less surreal naturalism and more of my everyday travels. Emotional, raw, unedited, which is what work should be anyways. Getting the acting bug back after seeing Heath’s Joker, what a performance! This year should be telling for me in the acting arena.

Still honoring, chasing Prefontaine training hard week in week out. Though I moved my running away from the roads and onto the beach, into the mountains to give my bones a break! A group of friends now runs in local races around the Westside. We call ourselves “Team Vintage” and can be seen wearing bandanas and other 70’s paraphernalia. (Only my girlfriend remains the svelte runner) All of these races give back to the community including but not limited to cancer research, mental health, and prenatal care. So far this year, I have run a mile in 5:15 and a 5K in 19:23. I’m getting faster. Bam. More soon.
